Brampton, August 25 (News Desk): The Government of Canada has launched a new policy titled “Powering Canada Strong: A National Strategy for an Electrified Canadian Economy,” which outlines the government’s vision to strengthen the country’s electricity infrastructure, stimulate economic growth, and ensure the continued availability of affordable, reliable, and clean energy for Canadians for decades to come. This new policy fully realizes that the country is facing challenges due to the growth of industries, increased use of electricity in transportation and construction, artificial intelligence (AI), sensitive metals and advanced manufacturing. Due to potential growth in the region, electricity demand will double by 2050. Production will be required. Sharing her thoughts on the matter, Brampton South MP Sonia Sidhu said, “The future of Canada’s economy depends on expanding infrastructure to support thriving communities, attract new investment and create good-paying jobs. This new national policy is about ensuring Canadian families and businesses have access to affordable electricity, while strengthening the country’s economy, driving innovation and building a resilient national energy future.” It is worth mentioning here that Canada is currently the most benefiting from a clean power system and is providing electricity to residential and industrial sectors at the cheapest rates among G7 countries. Aim of this federal policy is to modernize the electricity grid, support infrastructure development, increase cooperation between provinces and territories, and electrify the country’s economy.
