I’m running to be the next Mayor of Mississauga.
I remember the first time I was told we were visiting Mississauga. My family and I were new Canadians and I thought we were going to visit someone named “MRS. AGA”
My journey from that innocent mistake to the honour of running to be your Mayor… is the promise of Canada. The promise of Mississauga.
Mississauga is home. It’s where I’ve raised my daughter and run a small business. And I’ve had the privilege of representing Mississauga as a Member of Provincial Parliament, as Ontario’s Minister of Seniors, and as a local City Councillor.
Like so many of you, I worked hard. I found solutions where none seemed to exist and I made things happen.
These are the values I will bring with me as Mayor of Mississauga.
As Mayor I will tackle the 3 challenges facing Mississauga, head on… I’ll keep property taxes affordable, build more homes to address the housing shortage, and maintain law and order.
I have a clear vision for Mississauga. For a city that is liveable and affordable.
