Mississauga, August 18 (News Desk): A woman died in a crash that occurred in Lake Ontario over the weekend at Jack Darling Memorial Park in Mississauga. Police have not yet released the age and identity of the deceased. According to Peel Regional Police, a woman was reported swept away in the water at a park near Lakeshore Road West and Lauren Park Road at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Emergency crews were immediately on scene. According to police, a preliminary investigation indicates the woman may have slipped and fallen into the water. She was unable to resurface. Mississauga Fire Department search and rescue teams located the woman at approximately 11:15 p.m. Peel Paramedics He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. Police said that the deceased’s next of kin have not yet been identified, so no further information about her has been released.
