Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday announced a new set of measures aimed at boosting Canada’s economy, creating jobs and making life more affordable for Canadians.
The package includes increased support for clean energy, investment in infrastructure and additional funding for small businesses.
Trudeau said the government is focused on building a stronger, more resilient economy that works for everyone.
“We are investing in Canadians — in good jobs, in clean energy and in long-term prosperity,” Trudeau said at a press conference in Ottawa. “Our goal is to create more opportunities, lower costs and build a cleaner, greener future.” The Prime Minister also confirmed new measures to support workers and families, including expanded training programs and improved access to healthcare. The plan is expected to create thousands of jobs across the country over the next few years.
