U.S. President Joe Biden has reaffirmed his support for the strong and enduring partnership between the United States and Canada, saying the two countries are “stronger together” in the face of global challenges.
In a meeting with Canadian officials, Biden praised Canada’s leadership on climate change, security and economic cooperation. He said the U.S. values its close relationship with Canada and looks forward to working together on shared priorities.
“Canada is one of our closest and most important allies,” Biden said. “We share the same values, and our partnership is vital for a safer, more prosperous future.”
The President also highlighted the importance of continued collaboration on defence, trade and clean energy. He said both countries must remain united in promoting democracy, stability and human rights around the world.
“The U.S. and Canada have always stood together,” Biden said. “And we will continue to do so — today and in the years ahead.”
