The film industry is buzzing as the news of veteran actor Nagarjuna’s son getting married has broken out. His son Akhil Akkineni got married to his longtime girlfriend Zainab Ravdjee on Friday, June 6. Several photos of the beautiful couple tying the knot rallied across social media and had the netizens beaming.
The pictures show the beautiful couple donning complete whites in their marital ceremonies. Akhil can be seen wearing a traditional white kurta and dhoti. Zainab, on the other hand, wore a white silk saree teamed with a golden blouse and several beautiful jewellery to go along with it. The wedding ceremony was organised at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. This was a venue which was established by Akhil’s grandfather and legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
There was a plethora of stars lined up who graced the event with their presence and blessed the lovely couple. Many guests, including director Prashant Neel, Chiranjeevi, Daggubati Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Ram Charan and his wife Upasana, Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya were all present at the wedding. Most of the stars were seen carrying a traditional look in all whites.
The event which was basically the highlight of the wedding ceremony was the baraat ceremony that was held ahead of the wedding. Superstar Naga Chaitanya performed like a star and grasped everyone’s eyes with an energetic dance performance in a red traditional kurta.
There were dating rumours of Akhil and Zainab which started surfacing 2 years ago but the couple stayed silent and kept their relationship privately. They finally publicised their relationship last year in November when they both got engaged and shared it to the world through their social media accounts.
Akhil Akkineni started his acting career as a child actor in his father’s 1995 film Sisindri. But after that he was a regular in the industry and starred in movies such as Agent (2023), Mr Majnu (2019), Hello! (2017) and Akhil (2015).
