During 2025, Health Camp of New Jersey (HCNJ) successfully organized seven community health camps, including three new locations in Hamilton, Edison, and Parsippany, significantly expanding access to quality healthcare services across New Jersey.
Across all camps:
• Over 800 patients received comprehensive healthcare services.
• Services included medical, dental, mental health, eye care, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, urology, women’s health, cancer screenings, education and counseling, allied health screenings, medication management, physical therapy, podiatry, dietary services, alternative medicine, and many other preventive and supportive care services.
• Approximately 300 vaccinations, including influenza (flu) shots, were administered.
• Free medications were provided where needed, with continued support from Ritesh Shah Charitable Pharmacy.
A major milestone in 2025 was the launch of HCNJ’s in-house eye screening services, significantly strengthening preventive care and reducing barriers to vision health. These services enabled early detection of glaucoma and retinopathy, helping prevent long-term vision loss.
Critical Findings and Life-Saving Interventions
The 2025 screenings led to several critical medical discoveries:
• Approximately 20 patients were identified with serious laboratory abnormalities and were promptly connected with community physicians for follow-up care.
• Two patients presented with a critical lab value, requiring immediate medical intervention and close hospital follow-up.
These outcomes underscore the life-saving impact of early detection and timely intervention made possible through community-based health camps.
